BECAUSE WE CARE, A TRADITION CONTINUES AT
BOONE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
Our Heritage in Funeral Service to Cook
and surrounding counties has been nearly 100 years beginning with
A.D. Wiseman and then his son Thad Wiseman. The Wiseman Funeral
Home was a well known place for service and it's location on old US
Hwy. 41. Vernon A. "Pete" Boone began working with A.
D. Wiseman and Thad Wiseman in 1954. Pete along with his
wife, Luverne Rewis Boone, opened Boone Funeral Home in 1964
and in 1972 purchased the Wiseman Funeral Home. Luverne was a
Registered Nurse working both with Dr. Fred Clements and at the
Adel Memorial Hospital. She passed away unexpectedly in 1994. Dale
V. Boone, son of Pete and Luverne, grew up in funeral service
being fully licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in the
early 1980's. Dale has always helped others as the example
set by his parents. Dale is married to Dawn Spearman and they have
three sons: Tyler, Tanner, Turner and two grandchildren Kenly and
Kolby Boone.
James Braddock "Jamie" Grimsley,
Jr. joined our staff in 2002 and is a licensed funeral
director and embalmer. Brad Bostic is currently concluding his
degree in funeral service and will also be licensed in
2012. We continue training younger generations to serve our
community on into the future. Being one of the oldest Funeral Homes
in the State of Georgia, we have an excellant and very
qualified staff. Currently we have three Licensed Funeral Directors
and Embalmers with over 100 years of experience on staff along
with two licensed apprentices. Michael Hughes has completed
his apprenticeship. We maintain all State and Federal Laws and
Standards of licensure and continuing education.
This business belongs
to the Lord and we as his stewards serve Him and others
in
a
Christian manner as we would treat our own families.
We are proud
