Mrs. Anita Johnson Whittle, 60, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away on March 31, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Cook County on August 26, 1958.  Her parents were the late Walter Henry Johnson and Thelma Jean Wilkes Johnson.  Mrs. Whittle lived in Cook County most of her life where she attended New Life Baptist Church and was employed at Chick-Fil-A in Moultrie, Georgia, as a food preparation specialist.

Mrs. Whittle is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and John Daniel Johnson of Banks, Alabama; three grandchildren: Trinity, Tiffany and Charity Johnson, all of Banks, Alabama; two sisters: Wanda Johnson and Donna Ballard, both of Sparks; and two nieces: Beth Coon of South Dakota and Kelly Ballard of Sparks.

The family received friends Wednesday evening, April 3, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home South, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel.  The funeral service was held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Payne officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Mr. John Daniel Johnson played guitar and sang "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" and "Because He Lives."  Jarrett Coon, Lee Rowan, Larry Lawrence, Tom Sorrell, Kirk McDaniel and Larry Corbett served as pallbearers.
