Mrs. Annie Lounelle Broadaway, 93, of Palmetto, Florida, formerly of Adel, Georgia, passed away on May 15, 2026 at her daughter's home in Palmetto. She was born in Adel, Georgia on February 2, 1933 and lived much of her life there before moving to Florida in her later years to be with her daughter. Mrs. Broadaway was the daughter of the late Lester Mack George and the late Nellie Gladys Greene George. She was a Baptist and worked as a homemaker.
Mrs. Broadaway is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sonia and Lawrence Bianchi of Palmetto, Florida; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen W. Broadaway; a daughter, Sharon Carter; and five siblings.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 13, 2026 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Deacon Lawrence Bianchi officiating. A private interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex following the funeral services. Special music for the service will include "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" by Patsy Cline and "Make the World Go Away" by Eddy Arnold. The family will have visitation at at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the services.
