Mrs. Annie Jean Hayes Martin, 88, of Greensboro, Georgia, formerly of Adel, Georgia, passed away on November 24, 2018 at Legacy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro. Mrs. Martin was born April 15, 1930 in Cook County to the late Willie Henry Hayes and Edna Jewell Graddy Hayes. She lived all of her life in Cook County until six years ago when she moved to Greensboro to be with her family. She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Sparks, Georgia and was retired from Davis Brothers Motel.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Keith Phillips, and twin granddaughters, Paris and Alexa Phillips, all of Greensboro; and her sister, Betty Sue Wade of Macon, Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Martin was the widow of Leon "Buddy" Elmer Martin.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Johnny Leon Martin; and four brothers, John Henry Hayes, Earl Dean Hayes, Billy Joe Hayes and Bobby Hayes.

A memorial service for Mrs. Martin was held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Pastor Dell Young officiating.
