April
Johnson
Oct 27, 1983 — Sep 11, 2026
Cecil. Georgia
Mrs. April Marie Mashburn Johnson, 42, of Cecil, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born on October 27, 1983, in Valdosta, Georgia, and graduated from Lowndes High School.
April was a devoted wife and stay-at-home mother whose children were her whole world. She was immensely proud of Allana (11), and the twins: Noah and Hope (age 10), and caring for her family was the most important part of her life.
April was loving, thoughtful, kind, emotional, and wonderfully funny. She wore her heart on her sleeve and felt everything deeply. She loved to sing, dance, laugh, and do karaoke. She could often be found watching one of her favorite shows, The Golden Girls, doing her makeup, or expressing her creativity through painting, drawing, and DIY crafts. April especially loved the fall and looked forward each year to the arrival of pumpkin spice candles and coffee flavors.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, her sense of humor, her creativity, and the deep love she had for her family.
April is survived by her husband, Jedidah Thomas “JT” Smith-Johnson; her three beloved children, Allana Marie Johnson, Noah Thomas Johnson, and Hope Elizabeth Johnson; her father, Ricky Mashburn; her sister and brother-in-law, Laci and James Rankhorn; and her nieces and nephews, Kinsley Rankhorn, Elijah Rankhorn, and Avery Rankhorn.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Debra Lynn Mashburn.
A memorial service celebrating April’s life was held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home, located at 1804 South Hutchinson Avenue in Adel, Georgia. David Baker officiated. April was cremated and the family received friends at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 PM prior to the service.
Flowers will be gratefully received. Those wishing to offer another expression of sympathy may contribute to the GoFundMe established to assist with supporting her children in the times ahead.
April’s life ended far too soon, but the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her so much.
