Mrs. Audrey Nell Stripling, 78, of Adel, Georgia, passed away March 16, 2015 at her home. She was born October 8, 1936 to her late parents, Arthur Jorden Tillman and Alma Willie Folsom Tillman. She lived most of her life in Cook County where she served her family as a devoted homemaker, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Springhead Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Franklin Stripling of Adel; three daughters and sons-in-law: Phyllis and Barry Fogg of Pearl River, Louisiana, Debra and Mike Stanford of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Denise and Kenny Champagne of Metairie, Louisiana; nine grandchildren: Brandy Graham of Adel, Brittany Stripling of Adel, Brooke Stripling of Valdosta, Georgia, Callee Fogg of Pearl River, Louisiana, Joshua Stanford of Waldorf, Maryland, Matthew Stanford of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Amber Hybart of Kenner, Louisiana, Alexandra Gambino of Metairie, Louisiana, and Ashlyn Champagne, also of Metairie; and three great-grandchildren: Audrey Webb of Adel, and Abigail and Jaxon Hybart, both of Kenner, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Vernon Stripling, and a brother, Aubrey Lee Tillman.
The family received friends Friday, March 20, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. A graveside funeral service took place Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11 AM at Folsom Cemetery with Rev. Joey Taylor officiating. Jerry Permenter, Ronnie Hughes, Harold Folsom, Greg Folsom, Britt Mainor, and Denny Folsom served as pallbearers. Render and Fredda Folsom sang "Precious Memories" and Mr. Folsom also played guitar.
