Mrs. Barbara Wright "Bobbee" Gordon, 89, of Adel, Georgia passed away April 1, 2019 at the Cook Senior Living Center.  She was born January 26, 1930 in Adel to the late Ellis H. and Sarah Henry Irene Tucker Wright.  She lived all of her life in Adel where she was a member of Gordon Avenue Baptist Church and served her family as a homemaker.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Patricia Gordon of Hahira, Georgia; another daughter-in-law, Janet Bowman Gordon of Adel; four grandchildren and their spouses: Buffy and Neal Reddick of Hahira, Blaine Gordon of Pooler, Georgia, Eric and Paige Gordon of Adel, Jennifer and Brad Smith of Adel; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Herman Gordon, Sr.; a son, Kirk Gordon; a grandson, Dennis Todd Gordon; two brothers and one sister.

A graveside funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel with Rev. Eric Gordon and Dr. Danny Ray officiating.  Mrs. Buffy Reddick and Mr. Dennis Gordon also provided remarks and the reading of a poem at the service.  Melissa Jackson sang "Amazing Grace."
