Miss Barbara Ann Hathaway, 71, of Ozark, Alabama, passed away on March 11, 2021, at the Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.  She was born on July 23, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Irene Powers Hathaway was her mother whom she lived with all of her life.  Miss Hathaway was a caregiver and had lived in the Troy and Ozark communities since 1975.

She is survived by one brother, John William Hathaway, Jr. of Ozark, Alabama; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Betty Jo and Larry Savoie of Troy, Alabama, Claudia Jean Amari of Merritt Island, Florida, and Margaret Rose and Keith Harvey of Ashville, North Carolina.  Several cousins also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Miss Hathaway was held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2021, Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel, Georgia, with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating .  The family received friends at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, on the day of the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
