Mrs. Betty Bailey, 83 of Adel, Georgia passed away on October 21, 2024 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.  Mrs. Bailey was born on July 3, 1941 in Candler, North Carolina to the late Marion Burgin Wells and the late Helen Eleanor Brown Wells.  She was a member of the Adel Baptist Church and was a retired hairdresser.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by two sons, Donald (Leslie) Bailey of Adel and Kenneth Jones of Sparks, Georgia; one daughter, Hope Coulter of Valdosta; and one daughter-in-law, Bertha Jones of Adel; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by one son, Lark Jones and two daughters, Caroline Jones and Sandra Kaye Maglaris.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Rev. Elkin Harnage officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery.  Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
