Mrs. Betty A. Butler, age 77, of Adel, Georgia passed away on June 29, 2024 at her residence.  Mrs. Butler was born on October 17, 1946 in Dora, Alabama to the late Stanley Landrum and Essie Lee Rainey Landrum Dunn.  She lived in Plant City, Florida before moving to Adel 20 years ago. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband of over 61 years, James F. Butler of Adel; her son, Tony Butler of Port Richey, Florida; two daughters, Beverly Butler of Plant City, Florida and Penny Wingard of Keller, Texas; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and one brother, Billy Dunn of Athens, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Lenora Credico.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel with Rev. Johnny Hendley, Jr. officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation took place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Gerald Griffin and members of the family served as pallbearers.  "Amazing Grace" was played at the service.
