Mrs. Betty Folsom, 84, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away at Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia on Saturday, June 1, 2019.  She was born on October 13, 1934 in Sparks.  Her parents were the late Steve Boen Gibbs and Pearlie Lovesta Shaw Gibbs.  Mrs. Folsom lived all of her life in Cook County where she was a retired bookkeeper for Tri-County Gas and Carla's Florist and she was a member of Sparks Baptist Church.

Mrs. Folsom is survived by her three daughters and a son-in-law: Sharon Moore of Sparks, Patti and Dave Fishburne of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, and Jennifer Folsom of Sparks; four grandchildren: Chad Moore and Chance Moore, both of Sparks, Mary and Nathan Edgren of Sandy, Oregon, and John Fishburne of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; and three great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Layla Moore of Sparks and Russell Edgren of Sandy, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Leon Folsom.

The funeral service for Mrs. Folsom was held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. William Davis officiating.  Interment followed at Sparks City Cemetery.  Chad Moore, Christopher Webb, Joe Register, Tommy Gibbs, Bob Myers and Rusty McCranie served as pallbearers.  "God on the Mountain" and "It Is Well With My Soul" were played at the service.  No formal visitation was held.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  --Boone Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Folsom.
