Mr. Bill Wood, 63, of Adel, Georgia passed away April 19, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.  Mr. Wood was born December 8, 1960 in Adel to the late William Franklin "Frank" Wood, Sr. and to Mildred Tucker Wood of Adel.  He lived most of his life in Cook and Berrien Counties and was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church.  Mr. Wood worked for Chaparral Boats, Inc. and Gilman Lumber Company.

Mr. Wood is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Patrick Wood of Asheville, North Carolina, Will and Chasity Wood of Adel; two granddaughters: Presleigh Wood and Sara Wood of Adel; his mother, Mildred Tucker Wood of Adel; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Lisa Wood of Tifton, Georgia; one sister and brother-in-law, Angela Wood Johnston and Fred Boudreaux of Charlotte, North Carolina; his nephew, Tucker Wood of Jacksonville, Florida; and his niece, Leah Wood of Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral services were held at  4:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating and Rev. Jeff Gatlin spoke at the graveside.  Interment followed at the Sparks City Cemetery.  Visitation took place at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service.  Turner Wood, Greg Wood, Shane Wood, Michael Folsom, Timmy Hilliard and Mike Williams served as pallbearers and the Cook High School Class of 1979 served as honorary pallbearers.  Steve Meders sang "How Great Thou Art," "Home Where I Belong" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain."
