Mr. Bobby J. Hilliard, 81, of Adel, Georgia, passed away Friday November 6, 2015 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. He was born in Berrien County on November 23, 1933 to the late Thomas Jackson "T.J." Hilliard and Sadie Gray Hill Hilliard. He lived in Cook County for most of his life and was the owner of Hilliard's Home Furnishing. He was a member of Massee Baptist Church and served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army.

Mr. Hilliard is survived by his wife Pamela McDaniel Hilliard of Adel; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Tommy and Janice Hilliard of Sparks, Timmy Hilliard of Adel, Dr. Chris and Connie Hilliard of Sparks; two step-sons and daughters-in-law: Cameron and Tonya McDaniel of Adel, Kyle and Stephanie McDaniel of Hahira, Georgia; twelve grandchildren: Ruby Nicole Barnett, Jessica Tavares, Tiffany Allnutt, Chasity Myers, Travis Hilliard, LeAnne Hilliard, Blake Hilliard, Brandon Hilliard, Connor Hilliard, Caden McDaniel, Natalie McDaniel and Sutton McDaniel; and two great-grandchildren: Cole Myers and Samantha Tavares. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Hilliard; a son, Jeffery Hilliard; a brother, Vinston Hilliard; and a sister, Theresa Newman.

The Hilliard family received friends Sunday evening, November 8, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. The funeral service was held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 2 PM at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Duncan and Dr. Stanley Hendricks officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel. Brandon Hilliard, Blake Hilliard, Connor Hilliard, Travis Hilliard, Jarod Myers and Joe Lance Godwin served as pallbearers. The special selection "Go Rest High on That Mountain" was played at the service, Larry Corbett sang "Beulah Land", the New Life Church Choir sang "I'm Feeling Fine".
