Mr. Bobby L. Logan, 80, of Adel, Georgia, passed away July 3, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 29, 1937 in Cook County to Elmer and Emma Southerland Logan. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and also Factory Mutual Insurance Company. He was a Baptist and served as president of the Cook County Historical Society.

Mr. Logan is survived by his wife, Shirley Crosby Logan of Adel; five sons and two daughters-in-law: Dale and Debra Logan of Charlotte, NC, Pat and Kay Logan of Glennville, GA, Dr. James Greene of St. Simons Island, GA, Michael Greene of Brunswick, GA and Richard Greene of Omega, GA; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Barbara and Sonny Kress of Hickory, NC, Susan and Don Odom of De Soto, GA, Janet Napier of Tifton, GA and Susan Duren of Adel; grandchildren: Jason Kress of Lancaster, PA, Austin McNair of Chicago, IL, Summer Odom of De Soto, Abby Hinson of Leslie, GA, Anna Mitchell of Bainbridge, GA, Daniel Greene of Savannah, GA, Kathryn Greene of St. Simons Island, Stephanie Greene of Nashville, TN and Leigh Ann Cook of Adel; six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, John L. and Dorothy Logan of Ellenton, GA; and two sisters and a brother-in-law: Eleanor Fausett of Adel and Edna Sue and Marvis Davis of LaCrosse, WI. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Barnham Logan; his second wife, Joyce Logan; a brother, Joey Logan; and a step-son, Bruce Duren.

The funeral service for Mr. Logan was held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Rev. Chad Payne officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Church Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Jason Kress, Sonny Kress, David Cook, Wesley Hinson, Don Odom, Chris Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Trey Fausett, Phil Fausett and Tim Logan served as active pallbearers; members of the Cook County Historical Society served as honorary pallbearers.
