Mrs. Bonnie Patton Allen, 90, of Adel, Georgia passed away on August 22, 2024 at her residence following a brief illness.  Mrs. Allen was born on  February 16, 1934  in Tifton, Georgia to the late Carl Augustus Patton and Novella Inez Wallis Patton.  She worked as a substitute teacher, ward clerk, hostess at Hampton Inn and a homemaker.  Her passion was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Mike and Pam Allen of Sparks, Georgia, and Carlton Allen of Adel; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Al Nix of Adel; five grandchildren: Mikey and Brittany Allen of Adel, Dakota and Tyler Allen of Adel, Rebecca and Jeremy Chauncey of Valdosta, Georgia, Dr. Chelsea and Andrew Allen of Jacksonville, Florida, Steve and Haley Nix of Adel; seven great grandchildren: Malone Allen, Catie Allen, Ryder Allen, Reed Allen, all of Adel,  Aidan Chauncey and Adaline Chauncey of Valdosta and Nora Nix of Adel; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Grace Patton Allen of Sparks, Georgia, Joyce and Jack Abbott of Tifton, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Allen; her brother, Carl "Buddy" Patton; and sister, Carolyn Livingston Lindsey.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Kinsey officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex.  Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. Mikey Allen, Dakota Allen, Steve Nix, Jeremy Chauncey, Tim Allen and Randy Allen served as pallbearers.
