Mrs. Brenda Sue Parrish, age 81, of Adel, Georgia passed away on August 21, 2024 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Moultrie, Georgia.  Mrs. Parrish was born in Tift County on June 29, 1943 to the late Ellis Ray Fordham and Lillian Madine Akers Fordham.  She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of Crossland Baptist Church

Mrs. Parrish is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Rick Walker of Chula, Georgia; three step-sons: David Parrish, Phillip Parrish and Dale Parrish, all of Utah; three grandsons: Parrish Walker, Payton Walker and Palin Walker, all of Chula; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Ruth Fordham of Elljay, Georgia; one sister, Patricia Renfroe of Valdosta, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Dale Fordham of Jacksonville, Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive.  Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Cyrus "Bill" Parrish and one brother, Pal Fordham.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Woodlawn City Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating.  Interment followed.  Visitation took place from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at Boone Funeral Home; 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. Adel, Georgia.  "An Evening Prayer" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain" were played at the service.  Randy Fordham, Louis Fordham and Glenn Fordham served as pallbearers.
