Mr. Bruce Duren, 60, of Adel, Georgia, passed away March 3, 2015 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia. He was born in Adel on July 14, 1954 to Lenton "Lent" Duren (late) and Shirley Duren Logan. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and was a retired route salesman.

Mr. Duren is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Parrish Duren of Adel; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lenton Duren and his wife, Lauren, of Valdosta, Georgia; two daughters and sons-in-law: Stacy Duren Lindley and her husband, Matt, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Tracy and Michael Alligood of Leesburg, Georgia; his mother, Shirley Duren Logan of Adel; five grandchildren: Carley Turner, Brittany Turner, Kaitlyn Turner, Jack Lindley, and Eliza Lindley; and a sister, Susan Duren Parr of Adel. He was preceded death by his father, Lenton "Lent" Duren.

The Duren family received friends Wednesday March 4, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. The funeral service was held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Duncan and Rev. Wayne Driskell officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Church Cemetery. Jerry Edwards, David Griffin, Roger Register, Ed Shiflett, Dwight Purvis, Junior Buckholts, and David Sands served as active pallbearers; Tom Daughtrey, Owen McDaniel, Ricky Stalvey, and Dennis Eller served as honorary pallbearers.
