Mr. Bruce A. McDaniel, Sr., 73, of Adel, Georgia passed away March 2, 2016 at Cook Medical Center. He was born April 9, 1942 in Adel to his late parents, Perry and Rosa Lee Smith McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel served in the United States Army and was retired from AT&T where he was a digital technician. He lived in the Adel area most of his life and was a Baptist.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Gloria Kaigler McDaniel of Adel; two sons and daughters-in-law: Bruce Allen McDaniel, Jr. and Shanna "Shay" of Valdosta, Bradley A. McDaniel, Sr. and Jenny of Adel; six grandchildren: Bryan McDaniel and Brett McDaniel of Valdosta, Brittney McDaniel and Alex McDaniel of Adel, Miranda Akins of Perry, Georgia, and Katelyn Akins of Valdosta; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue M. and John Boudreaux of Shreveport, Louisiana; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Jack and Connie Kaigler, Bobby and June Kaigler, and a sister-in-law and her husband, Nancy and Bobby Thomas, all of Swansea, South Carolina.

The funeral service for Mr. McDaniel was conducted Saturday March 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Duncan and Rev. Harris Whitman officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Church Cemetery. The family received friends Friday evening March 4, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. Brian McDaniel. Brett McDaniel, Alex McDaniel, Mike Kaigler, Kevin Kaigler, Kirk McDaniel and Roger McDaniel served as active pallbearers; Tyrone McDaniel, Roy Walton, Jim North, Steve Haineault and Raymond Pafford served as honorary pallbearers. Instrumental versions of "Softly and Tenderly", "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "For the Beauty of the Earth" were played at the service.
