Obituary

Mr. Calvin E. "Bill" Lollis, 83 of Adel, Georgia passed away June 24, 2016 at the Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, Georgia. Mr. Lollis was born July 7, 1932 in Memphis, Texas to the late Charles and Viola Lollis. Mr. Lollis has lived most of his life in Cook County. He was a member of the Living Way Baptist Church and had served in the United States Air Force. He was retired from Civil Service as a jet mechanic and also worked at the Cook County Service Center.

Mr. Lollis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Chlois Joiner Lollis of Adel; three daughters and one son-in-law: Kathy L. Greer (Bart) of Valdosta, Karen and Art Bradley of Lake City, Florida, and Cindy Elliott of Adel; nine grandchildren: Kelly and Stephen Register, Amanda and Mason Caracciolo, all of Valdosta, Rob and Cheryl Bradley of Dallas, Georgia, Chris and Teara Powell of Cecil, Georgia, Karrie and Josh Clements of Thomasville, Georgia, Heather and Chad Hatfield of Atlanta, Georgia, Tyler Elliott of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Ross Elliott and Cole Elliott of Adel; nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Frisbee of Plainview, Texas and Martha Kiem of Perryton, Texas. Mr. Lollis was preceded in death by four brothers.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Vaughn and Rev. Harris Whitman officiating. Interment followed at the Woodlawn Cemetery Annex. Visitation was conducted from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave in Adel. Chris Powell, Tyler Elliott, Ross Elliott, Cole Elliott, Robert Elliott, Stephen Register, Chad Hatfield and Luke Register served as active pallbearers; Brian Moore and William Davis served as honorary pallbearers. New Tradition sang "Amazing Grace" and "Lord I'm Coming Home"; and the special selection "Why Me Lord" was also played at the service.
