Mr. Carlton L. Tyson, Sr., 78, of Adel, Georgia passed away Friday December 8, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born in Polk County, Florida on August 1, 1939 to the late Leonard J. and Effie Little Tyson. He was Catholic and was retired from the United States Air Force where he served more than 20 years including the Vietnam War.

Mr. Tyson is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Carlton L. Tyson, Jr. and Linda of DeBerry, Texas; a daughter, Sonia Tyson; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Willie E. Baldree, Jr. and Sherry of Manassas, Virginia; three grandchildren: Danielle Levesque, Brandon Levesque and Willie E. Baldree III; a great-grandson, Landyn Levesque; and a brother, Charles Tyson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Jean Ward Tyson in 2015.

A graveside service was held for Mr. Tyson on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Brushy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Deacon Ray Brown officiated. No formal visitation was held.
