Mrs. Carolyn Griffin Goff, 78, of Shalimar, Florida passed away June 25, 2017 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. She was born in Lenox, Georgia, on February 25, 1939 to "John R." Robert Griffin and Myrtle Ethel Tyson Griffin. She lived most of her life in Florida in the cities of Auburndale, Cocoa Beach and Shalimar and also spent time living in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Goff was a Baptist and worked as a homemaker.
Mrs. Goff is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law: Scott and Ashley Goff of Bartow, Florida and Master Sgt. Chad Goff of Shalimar, Florida; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Billy Charles and Paskell Griffin, all of Lenox; and four sisters: Reba Jean Spradley of Adel, Ethel White of Orange Park, Florida, Benda Mangham of Lenox and Cheryl Griffin of Tifton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Barney Goff; a son, Tracy Goff; three brothers: J.R., Bryan and Albert Griffin; and two sisters: Elma Gibbs and Sarah Pearl Lacob.
Funeral services for Mrs. Goff will be held Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., Adel, Georgia) with Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Interment will be held privately later at Lakeview Church Cemetery in Lenox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Joy Pruitt will sing "What a Day That Will Be" and "A Place to Spend the Night."
