Mr. Charles Robert "Bob" Day of Adel, Georgia passed away March 20, 2026 at the Southwell Health and Rehabilitation Center in Adel.  Mr. Day was born on April 10, 1936 in Daytona, Florida to the late William Hiram Day and the late Olive Hutson Day.  He lived most of his life in Cook County and was a member of the Adel Church of God.  He was a retired contractor and had served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Day is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; Chuck and Selena Day of Hoschton, Georgia, and Greg Day of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Hannah Day and William Twitty of Lawrenceville, Georgia,  Elizabeth Day of New York City, New York, Jessica and Justin Hodges of Denver, Colorado, Zachary  Day of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one brother, Harold Day of Sparks, Georgia; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Grace Phillips Day and one bother, William Day.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday; March 24, 2026 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Blair officiating.  Interment with military honors followed at Wilkes Cemetery located on the grounds of Community Calvary Holiness Church.  Visitation took place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Boone Funeral Home; 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
