Ms. Cheryl Anne "Cheri" Bennett, 62, of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away at home on May 19, 2021.  She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on October 2, 1958.  Her parents were the late Calvin Cornelius Bennett and Mary Frances Martin Bennett.  Cheri was a retired drafter for Vulcan Steel of Adel.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Kim Johnson of Lakeland; her daughter, Jessica Johnson Miley of Nashville, Georgia; six grandchildren: Chance Miley, Hannah Miley, Jada Miley, Brooke Johnson, Jenna Johnson and Logan Johnson; two great-grandchildren: Farrah Miley and Cali Miley; and her siblings: Donna Smith of Sparks, Mike Bennett of Adel, and Debra (Steve) Schreck of Valdosta.  In addition to her parents, Cheri was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Aiden Miley.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Ms. Bennett on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel).  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Cheri be made to the American Eagle Foundation (eagles.org) in support of Cheri's love for eagles.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  --Boone Funeral Home of Adel is serving the Bennett family.
