Ms. Clara Hundley Rumph, 84, of Sparks, Georgia, formerly of Hurricane, West Virginia, passed away on December 1, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. She was born on May 16, 1932 in St. Albans, West Virginia to her late parents, Tolbert Riley
Hundley and Garnette Lou Atkins Hundley. Ms. Rumph was a retired bookkeeper with C and O Motors. She moved to Cook County five years ago and attended the Adel Assembly of God but was a member of Twin City Bible Church in Nitro, West Virginia.
Ms. Rumph is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ed Farmer of Sparks; two grandchildren: Jacob Farmer and Micahlea Farmer of Sparks; and a sister, Rena Byrd of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tolbert J. Hundley and Willard Hundley; and a sister, Edda Mae Reese.
The funeral service was held Sunday December 4, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Rewis officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment took place at Money Cemetery after the funeral service. Jerry Rewis sang Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus"; the special musical selection of "It Is Well With My Soul" was also played at the sevice.
