Mr. Clyde Hopson, Sr., age 74, of Lakeland, Georgia, formerly of Adel, Georgia, passed away March 30, 2024 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.  He was born in Cook County on November 21, 1950 to the late Andrew Jackson Hopson and Gerldene Hancock Hopson.  Mr. Hopson lived most of his life in Cook County and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia.  He was formerly employed with Production Anodizing in Adel.

Mr. Hopson is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Rose Jessup of Lakeland; two grandchildren: Autumn Rose Jessup and Andrew Lee Jessup, both of Lakeland; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Cheryl Hopson of Adel.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Bryan Hopson, and his son, Clyde Eugene "C.J." Hopson, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Scotty Mathis officiating.  Interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
