Mr. David Hayes, 63 of Adel, Georgia passed away at his residence. Mr. Hayes was born December 2, 1952 in Adel to John Henry Hayes and Eva Nell Bennett Hayes. He lived most of his life in Cook County and attended Forest Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Hayes was the owner of David Hayes Quality Refrigeration.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hayes; three sons and daughters-in-law: Brad and Deanna Hayes, Eric and Jerri Lynn Hayes, Zachary Revells and his fiancee', Leah Potter, all of Adel; one daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Josh Thompson of Irwin County; his mother Mrs. Eva Nell Hayes of Adel; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Gail Hayes of Lenox, Georgia; one sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Ricky Mathis of Adel and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Wood Hayes, and his father, John Henry Hayes.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Morrison and Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Interment followed at the Sparks City Cemetery. Visitation was held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2015 at Boone Funeral Home. Robbie Rutland, Scott Mathis, Lance Mitchell, Jeff Oler, Jonathan Hayes and Tyler McFarland served as active pallbearers; Roger Dunn, Ed Shiflett, Tom Guess, Jackson Mixon, Charles Forte, Ted Lewis, Joe Maine, Roscoe Register and Steve Register served as honorary pallbearers. Special selections played at the service were "Outskirts of Heaven" and "Suppertime".
