Mr. David R. Jones, 80 of Sparks, Georgia passed away June 22, 2018 at his residence.  He was born November 5, 1937 in Cook County to the late Coly Roy Jones and Louannie Kenly Jones.  Mr. Jones lived most of his life in Cook County and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
He was a retired supervisor at Metal Products.  Mr. Jones served in the Army National Guard and had also retired as a volunteer fireman after 25 years with the Adel Fire Department.

Mr. Jones is survived by his loving wife, Agnes G. Jones of Sparks; two daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and Gary Monetta of Loganville, Georgia and Davina J. Parramore of Albany, Georgia; four grandchildren; Ryan Riche of Lafayette, Louisiana; Kynlee Parramore of Adel, Georgia; Nicolas Monetta of Loganville; Todd and Rebecca Parramore of Adel; two great grandchildren; Kottyn Parramore and Maggie Matthews both of Adel; one sister, Sharon Boyd of Adel also survives.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 24, 2018 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation was conducted at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  Dalton Matthews, Todd Parramore, Gary Monetta, Nicolas Monetta, Randy Harris, and Brandon Cowart served as pallbearers.  Special musical selections played at the service were "You Can Let Go Now, Daddy" and "Wind Beneath My Wings;" the congregation sang "Amazing Grace" at the graveside.
