Mrs. Debra Flowers Hunter, 61, of Ellenton, Georgia, passed away January 3, 2015 at her home. She was born November 28, 1953 in Valdosta, Georgia to her late parents, Arthur Eugene "Gene" Flowers and Lucy Lucile Weeks Flowers. She was a retired office manager for V.M. Battle and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. She lived all of her life in south Georgia.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband, Gary P. Hunter of Ellenton; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Donna Cowart of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Tera and Keith Myers of Dublin, Georgia; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law, Corey Hunter, and Chris and Marissa Hunter, all of Colorado; fourteen grandchildren: Jayde and Trevor Lockerman, and Peyton Cowart (all of Tifton, Georgia), Reed and Kimber Cromer, Courtney Myers, Zackary Myers, Cameron Myers, Christian Myers, and Sara Beth Myers (all of Dublin), Zachary and Bryanna Hunter, Joshua Hunter, Trevor Hunter, Ryan Hunter, Shawn Hunter, and Desiree Hunter (all of Colorado), and Kendra Hall and Ryan Barber (both of Tifton); and two great-grandchildren, Cason Lockerman of Tifton and Gracie Hunter of Colorado.
The funeral service were held on Tuesday January 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Moree officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. Special music played " Old Rugged Cross", Will The Circle Be Unbroken" and "Amazing Grace". Reed Cromer, Peyton Cowart, Ryan Barber, Ashley Chambers, Trevor Lockerman, and Duane Cromer served as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family.
