Mrs. Debra Rowan Ragland, 59, of Adel, passed away October 9, 2015 at her home. She was born on November 28, 1955 in Macon, Georgia to her late parents, James Harwell Rowan and Evelyn Larae McFerrin Price. She was retired from the Cook County Board of Education where she served the community as a 5th grade teacher at Cook Elementary School.

Mrs. Ragland is survived by her daughters, Stacey Lynn Gates of Delray Beach, Florida and Meredith Harper of Thomasville, Georgia; three grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Rowan of Madison, Florida.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Ragland will be cremated. A memorial service will take place Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
