Mrs. Debra S. Register, 63, of Adel, Georgia passed away June 30, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta. She was born on October 20, 1953 in Adel to the late Clifford Otis "Cliff" Shiflett and Martha Monzelle DeMott Shiflett. She lived in Cook County all of her life where she was a member of Springhead Baptist Church and the Pilot Club and also worked as the operations manager for The Citizens Bank of Adel.

Mrs. Register is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Shanya Register; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Ricky Sumner; four grandchildren: Ty Sumner and fiancee Sara Ray, Kylee and Tyler Raulerson, Nole Register and Ava Register; two great-grandchildren: Noa Jade Sumner and Kaden Raulerson; a sister, Laqueta Howze, all of Adel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Register.

The funeral service was held Monday July 3, 2017 at 6 PM at Springhead Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Taylor and Elder Tony Marshall officiating. Entombment followed in the Community Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel. The family received friends at the church on the day of the service from 3 until 6 PM. Ty Sumner, Nole Register, Tyler Raulerson, Kaden Raulerson, Corey Mackie, Cole Mackie, Keith Howze, Phil Howze, Joe Register and Chris Rogers served as active pallbearers; The Pilot Club of Cook County served as honorary pallbearers. Steve Meders sang "Midnight Cry"; other special selections to be played were "Home" and "The Twelfth of Never." The family would like to send a special "Thank You" to Dr. Eric Anderson and the staff of the Pearlman Cancer Center and also Kimberly Marsh and the rest of the staff at Langdale Hospice House.
