Mr. Derrell Brown, 80 of Sparks, Georgia passed away November 17, 2016 at the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Brown was born February 2, 1936 in the West Berrien Community to the late Joseph Andrew Brown and Elizabeth Odell Sumner Brown. He lived most of his life in Cook County and attended New River Holiness Church. Mr. Brown was a retired farmer.
Mr. Brown is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law: Houston and Anita Brown of Tifton, Georgia; Roger and Debbie Brown of Sparks and Russell and Frances Brown of Adel, Georgia; four grandchildren: Kim and Randall Myers, Mark and Christie Brown, Joey and Amber Brown, Megan and Mac Deason and eight great grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Brown of Adel and one sister, Gloria Rowan of Lakeland, Georgia. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his grandson, Drew Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2016 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia. Eulogies will be given by Mr. Joe Simpson and Mr. Doc Sumner. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:30 PM until the time of service. Following the service, interment will take place at New River Holiness Church Cemetery.
