Mr. Don Ivey, 67, of Adel, Georgia passed away on February 3, 2022 at the Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia.  Mr. Ivey was born on August 11, 1954 in LaFollette, Tennessee to the late Fred Edward Ivey and Evelyn Joyce Jones Ivey.  He lived in Tennessee, Florida and the past 15 years in Cook County, Georgia.  Mr. Ivey was a member at the Cecil Baptist Church and was the Chief Estimator at Vulcan Steel Structures, Inc.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Deana Ivey of Nashville, Tennessee; his sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Lee Myers of LaFollette, Tennessee; one nephew, Ben Ivey of Lexington, Kentucky; three nieces: Mary Grace Myers of Knoxville, Tennessee, Leigh Ivey Hicks and Jack Hicks of Nashville, Tennessee and Virginia Ann Ivey of Nashville, Tennessee.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Doug Ivey.

A memorial service was held at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., with Rev. John Hendley officiating.  "Amazing Grace" and "Just As I Am" were special music selections played at the service.  In keeping with Mr. Ivey's wishes he was cremated.  Memorials may be made to the Cecil Baptist Church, P.
