Mr. Donald "Don" Tyner, 70, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on Monday July 3, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta. He was born in Helena, Arkansas on May 12, 1947 to Norton O. and Martha Carter Tyner. He was a 1966 graduate of Central High School in West Helena, Arkansas. He has lived in Adel for the past 30 years and was of the Church of Christ faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tyner was preceded in death in 2013 his wife of 26 years, Mary Sue Rumph Tyner. He is survived by his step-son, Andy Moran of Tupelo, Mississippi; a step-daughter, Suzy Moran Rusk of Adel; four grandsons: Mike Moran, Joshua Moran, Mark Johnson and Aaron Johnson; two great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet Lynn Tyner Lee and Harvey Lee of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a nephew, Brandon Lee.

After high school Don was employed as a surveyor, then worked for the Helena Chemical Company and was at last a long time employee at BASF of Sparks, Georgia. He was of the Adel Masonic Lodge #310, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Hasan Shrine of Albany, Georgia and Royal Order of Jesters. No services will be held in Don's honor at his request. Memorials may be sent to the Shriner Children's Hospital in care of Hasan Temple in Albany at 1822 Palmyra Rd. Albany, GA 31701.
