Mr. Donnie S. Guthrie, 50, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at his residence on March 20, 2021.  Mr. Guthrie was born in Cook County on June 6, 1970, to Thomas "Tommy" Shelton Guthrie and Brenda Pilkinton Guthrie.  He lived most of his life in Cook County and was a retired truck driver.  He attended the Adel United Methodist Church and the Adel Assembly of God.

Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fleming Guthrie of Adel; his son, Tyler Guthrie of Gainesville, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Abby and Jacob Swaggerty of Starke, Florida; his mother, Brenda Pilkinton Guthrie of Adel; step-son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Jessica Hale, and step-daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Casey Bowers, all of Orange, Virginia; a granddaughter, Ivy Rose Scott of Valdosta, Georgia; two brothers and sister-in-law: Tony and Teresa Guthrie, and Ronnie Guthrie and his fiancée, Sandy Koen; one sister, Lori G. Goldinger; and his mother-in-law, Sara Fleming, all of Adel.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Noel Guthrie and his father, Thomas "Tommy" Shelton Guthrie.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on March 27, 2021, at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia) with Rev. Tommy Bussey and Rev. Nick Kinsey officiating.  Interment followed at the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.  Special music played at the service will included "Going Away Party," "Old Violin" and "Three Wooden Crosses."  Timmy Guthrie, Jason Godwin, Jamie Godwin, Joe Lance Godwin, Henry Miller, Dale Morgan and Brian Hester served as pallbearers.
