Mrs. Dorothy V. Cooper, 90, of Plant City, Florida, was born in Lenox, Georgia on November 7 , 1928, and went home to be with Jesus on January 22 , 2019.  She was a hairdresser for over 55 years,and member of Bethany Baptist Church in Plant City.  She loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Cooper; her parents, John Henry and Versey Bennett; and siblings, Donald Bennett and Delma Graves.  She is survived by her siblings, Ronald Bennett, Billy Bennett, Eleanor Kidd, Linda Brooks, Ray Bennett, and Diane Morrow; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire team at Solaris HealthCare Plant City, which was Dorothy's home for the past 5 years.  They will be forever grateful for the love and care given to her.  A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 26 at 3:00 PM at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 S County Rd 39, Plant City, where the family received friends beginning at 2:00 PM.  Another funeral service was held on Monday, January 28 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Avenue, Adel, Georgia, where the family received friends beginning at 1:00 PM.  A committal followed at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparks, Georgia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 3409 N.
