Mr. Edward B. Trent, 84, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 19, 1933 in San Francisco, California to Esker Bradstreet Trent and Elinor Rose Scudero Trent. He lived most of his life in Georgia and the past 22 years in Lenox. Mr. Trent was a member of Grace Baptist Church, received an engineering degree from Georgia Tech and was retired from Lockheed where he worked as an electrical engineer. He also served honorably in the United States Navy.
Mr. Trent is survived by his wife, Thelma Hicks Trent of Lenox; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Paulette Trent of Alpharetta, Georgia; three daughters and a son-in-law: Vallerie Trent of Decatur, Georgia, Melissa and Andy Kingery of Kennesaw, Georgia and Suzanne Creach of Lenox; six grandchildren: Ted Trent, Amanda Trent and Tim Trent, all of Alpharetta, Alex Kingery of Cherry Point, North Carolina, Abbi Kingery of Kennesaw and Cody Creach of Lenox; and a brother, Ken Trent of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The funeral service for Mr. Trent will be held Friday December 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral South (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Rev. Brad Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Staunton Cemetery in Lenox. Ted Trent, Tim Trent, Alex Kingery, Cody Creach, Dennis Hicks and David Hicks will serve as pallbearers. Special musical selections to be played at the service will be "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
