Mr. Edward F. Tyson, 72, of Elloree, South Carolina, passed away January 21, 2015 at Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was born in Adel, Georgia on November 20, 1942 to the late J.D. Tyson and Edith Lorene Giddens Tyson. He lived most of his life in Virginia and the last 11 years in South Carolina. He was a retired construction welder and of the the Baptist faith.

Mr. Tyson is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Burch Tyson of Elloree; four daughters: Laurie Blackwell of Lillington, NC; Jeannie Smith of Broadway, NC; Vickie Watts of Fayetteville, NC and Tonya Tyson; four step-sons: Byron Lynn of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Coleman Lynn of Valdosta, Mike Simmons of Greenfield, South Carolina, and Stevie Simmons of Waynesboro, Virginia; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild; a brother Kim Tyson of Georgia; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Delores and J.W. Tillman, Pam and Larry Felts, all of Adel. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Tyson; a grandson, Cody Tyson and three sisters: Faye Linter, Joette Lail, and Debra Odom.

The Tyson family received friends Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel, Georgia. The funeral service took place Sunday January 25, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Mrs. Pam Felts providing the eulogy. Interment followed at Crossroads Church Cemetery in Adel. Byron Lynn, Coleman Lynn, Mike Simmons, Stevie Simmons, Randy Tillman, and Sydney Tillman served as pallbearers.
