Mrs. Ennis A. Dean, 85, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on March 19, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Adel on May 20, 1933.  Her parents were Robert Melburn Alderman and Sallie Folsom Alderman.  Mrs. Dean was a lifelong resident of Cook County where she was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.  She was retired from Dean's Cleaners and was a seamstress.

Mrs. Dean is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law: Vera and Morris Myers of Sparks, Georgia, Lisa and Gene Brooks of Ringgold, Georgia, Sally and Curt Ullery of Burns, Tennessee, Deanne and Greg Walden of Adel; seven grandchildren and their spouses: Terah and Michael Huffstetler of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Koren and Eric Rountree of Adel, Jarod and Chasity Myers of Sparks, Amanda and Craig Bartley of Dalton, Georgia, Jesse Brooks of Ringgold, Logan Walden and Leslie Walden, both of Adel; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilda A. Taylor of Adel.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Woodard Dean, Jr., and a sister, Faye A. Fletcher.

The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home South.  The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Brady and Rev. Randy Mosley officiating.  Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Jarod Myers, Logan Walden, Jesse Brooks, Craig Bartley, Phillip Taylor, Bruce Vining, Vance Dean and Billy Dean served as active pallbearers; Mrs. Dean's Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers.  Sharon Mosley played piano and Ellen Wiggins sang "In the Garden" and "His Eye Is on the Sparrow."  In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in honor of Mrs. Dean to Antioch United Methodist Church.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  --Boone Funeral Home is serving the Dean family.
