Mrs. Evelyn C. Jackson Beck, 88, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on December 31, 2020, at Legacy Village in Tifton, Georgia.  She was born on December 8, 1932 in Ray City, Georgia.  Her parents were Thomas Houston Burnette and Ettie Mae Bristol Burnette.  Mrs. Beck lived most of her life in Cook County where she was a member of the Adel Church of God.  She was also a homemaker and retired childcare provider.

Mrs. Beck is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Connie Dwayne Carter and Debi Carter of Adel; a daughter and son-in-law, Francine C. and Larry Stone of Tifton; six grandchildren and their spouses: Travis and Ana Stone of Tifton, Tracey and Trae Stevens of Tifton, Christie and Jody Bullard of Adel, James and Kristi Carter of Ellerbe, North Carolina, Jeanne and Michael Andrade of Panama City Beach, Florida, Jerrod and Nina Carter of Hahira, Georgia; and 14 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Alfred Beck; two sons, Dennis Carter and James T. Carter; four brothers and five sisters.

A private graveside service for Mrs. Beck was held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Beulah Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating.  A recording of "I Can't Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand" was played at the service and Tracey Stevens led the congregation in the singing of "Amazing Grace."  Jack Stevens, Jacob Stevens, Diego Diaz, Christopher Weeks, Brett Bullard and Bryce Bullard served as pallbearers.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  --Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
