Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, Betty Kelly of Sparks; two sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Jennifer Kelly, and Brett and Sharon Kelly, all of Sparks; three grandchildren: Lindsey Kelly, Preston Kelly, and Cole Kelly, all of Sparks; three brothers: Keith Kelly of Sparks, Teddy Kelly of Sparks, and Kenneth Kelly of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters: Sara Powers of Sparks, Sylvia Kent of Adel, Martha Hall of Sparks, and Brenda Mathis of Valdosta, Georgia.
The Kelly family received friends Sunday evening June 1, 2014 from 6 until 8 pm at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. The funeral service took place Monday June 2, 2014 at 11:00 am at Sparks United Methodist Church with Rev. Sally Flowers officiating and close family friend, Mr. James Ensley, providing the eulogy. Interment followed at Sparks City Cemetery. C.H. Vickers, Frank Alley, Royce Kendrick, Brent Dixon, Jerry Edwards, and Lonnie Roberts served as active pallbearers; Kent Thomas, Johnny Flanders, James Ensley, Jimmy Rountree, Don Huckaby, and Bud Paulk served as honorary pallbearers. Cindy Williams played the piano and Kevin Harrison sang "Beulah Land" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and the congregation sang "Amazing Grace."
