Mrs. Frances Hicks Price, 89, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away December 15, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. She was born March 10, 1925 in Cook County to her late parents, Benjamin C.S. Hicks and Ida May Mathis Hicks. She lived in Atlanta most of her life before returning to Cook County 29 years ago. She retired from Wachovia Bank as a Trust Officer after 41 and a half years of service. Mrs. Price was a member of Lenox Baptist Church.

Mrs. Price is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Ed Trent of Lenox; and her cousins: Mary Martha Hicks Harding of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Albert "Shorty" Hicks of Oregon; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Price; and her three brothers: Ben Hicks, Ernest "Jack" Hicks, and James Hicks.

The funeral service was held Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Lenox Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Ashley officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel. The family received friends at Lenox Baptist Church one hour prior to the funeral service. Doris Arnold sang "Beulah Land" and the Lenox Baptist Church Choir sang "What a Day." Buddy Morris, Van Lindsey, Chad Sumner, Mike Connell, Donald "Woody" Hazel and Kadney WIlkerson served as active pallbearers; the Senior Adult Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers.
