Mr. Frank Crosby, 67, of Adel, Georgia, passed away September 25, 2015 at Cook Medical Center in Adel. He was born on July 28, 1948 in Adel to his late parents, Harmon Elliott Crosby, Sr. and Gladys Dickerson Crosby. Mr. Crosby lived most of his life in Cook County. He worked over forty years in the steel building industry and was currently employed by T and J Steel Erectors of Cairo, Georgia.
Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife, Lynn Sue Crosby of Adel; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Katrina and Brad Bostic, Jessie Lynn Crosby and Mitchell Bennett, and Marcy Rene` Crosby, all of Adel; five grandchildren: Jodi Lawler Hiers of Moultrie, Frankie Bostic, Emily Holton, Bralyn McDonald and Ava Bennett, all of Adel; three great-grandchildren: Maddi Hiers of Moultrie, Aidan Bostic and Livy Holton, both of Adel; and two sisters: Hilda Rice of Adel and Carolyn C. Noles of Perry, Florida. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy Crosby Lawler; a son, Eric Smith; a brother, Harmon Elliott Crosby, Jr.; and four sisters: Noma Crosby, Freddie Carol Crosby, Mary Lou Mixon and Annette C. Norman.
The Crosby family received visitors Monday evening, September 28, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. The funeral service was held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Graham and Rev. Christy Bandy officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Church Cemetery. Rev. Bandy sang "Amazing Grace" at the graveside; special selections played at the service were "Come See This Man" and "Down to the River to Pray". Jerry Browning, Dusty McCall, Alex Thompson, Robin McDaniel, Walter "Pee Wee" McCall and Keith Blount served as active pallbearers; Steve Browning, Don Gibbs, Jerome Turvin, Tommy Connell, Britt Mainor and Danny Emrich served as honorary pallbearers.
