Obituary

Mrs. Frankie Horne Ledbetter, 77, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at her home. She was the daughter of Wiley Franklin Horne and Toy Gladys Crosby Horne and was born in Berrien County on March 6, 1942 but lived most of her life in Cook County. Mrs. Ledbetter was a member of First Baptist Church of Adel and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by her children: Mark Croft of Adel, Lisa and Keith Hodge of Valdosta, Georgia, Cindee and Terry Hiers of Valdosta, Mike and Ann Ledbetter of Adel, Vic and Connie Ledbetter of Valdosta; nine grandchildren and their spouses: David and Rachel Enfinger of Valdosta, Danielle and Brian Gibbs of Valdosta, Tory Croft of Valdosta, Mackenzi Croft of Jacksonville, Florida, Morgan Croft of Jacksonville, Lindsey and Kevin Moore of Valdosta, Heather and Matt Dorsey of Valdosta, Vickie and Philip Everitte of Valdosta, Christy and Bobby Keene of Quitman, Georgia; twelve great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Edna Swilley of Lakeland, Florida, Ramonda and Dwight Marshall of Adel, Betty Doub of Adel, Julie and Dan Ross of Gainesville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.M. "Boots" Ledbetter; a brother, Harry Horne; and three sisters: Laura Collins, Gladys Simmons and Sara Harbin.

The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home South, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. The funeral service took place at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 8, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Adel with Rev. Bill Marlette and Elder Dwight Marshall officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel. Butch Doub, Scott Doub, Chad Bush, Clint Bush, Brad Bush and Jeff SPencer served as pallbearers.  Special musical selections played at the service were: "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art" and "Goodbye's (The Hardest Word)."  Sheila Humber played piano at the service.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com. –Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
