Mr. Fred Fletcher, 87, of Sparks, Georgia passed away November 4, 2016 at Southeast Georgia Regional Hospital in Brunswick, Georgia. He was born on February 11, 1929 in Moultrie, Georgia to his late parents, Walter Victor Fletcher and Katie Lou James Fletcher. He lived much of his life in Juneau, Alaska and Cook County. He was a Master Mason and a retired communications specialist with the United States Coast Guard.

Mr. Fletcher is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Allen Fletcher and Nancy of Juneau, Alaska; two daughters: Robin Goodmiller and Tammy Fletcher, both of Adel; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith M. Griffin Fletcher, and a grandson, Mark Goodmiller.

A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Mr. Fletcher's home with Rev. Herman Griffin officiating. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to a charity of your choice or to do a good deed for someone in Mr. Fletcher's memory.
