Obituary

Mrs. Freddie Ann Bostic, age 78, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on February 1, 2026, at Berrien Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center following a sudden illness.  She was born on April 10, 1947, in Berrien County to the late Fred Dix and the late Myrtle Dix Foxworth.  Mrs. Bostic was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and was the retired owner of a Home Daycare Center.  She helped raise many children in the community throughout her years of dedicated service and everyone who walked through her door affectionately called her "Grandma."   Mrs. Bostic lived most of her life on their family farm in Cook County.

She is survived by two sons: Dewade and Amy Bostic of Adel, Brad Bostic and Kirstyn Gordon of Hahira, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Katrina Bostic of Adel; six grandchildren: Frankie Bostic of Valdosta, Emily Holton, Elizabeth Bostic, Rachel Bostic, Sarah Bostic and Ally Cumbus, all of Adel; five great-grandchildren: Aidan Bostic of Tennessee, Livy Grace Holton, Layla Holton, Alayna Bostic and Baylee Bostic, all of Adel.  She is also survived by a brother, Rev. Randall Foxworth of West Point, Georgia and two sisters, Ernestine Gaskins and Charlotte Foxworth, both of Nashville, Georgia.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bostic is preceded in death by her loving husband, Junior Bostic, and her son, Jonathan Bostic.

Mrs. Bostic had a very special family that took care of her at Berrien Oaks Nursing Home for the last ten years: residents, CNAs, nurses, laundry, housekeeping and kitchen staff.  She loved each one of them as if they were her family because that is what they were to her.  A special thank you to Dr. Nash, South Georgia Medical Center and Hospice of South Georgia for making sure she was comfortable and taken care of as her life ended on this side of eternity.  The Bostic family is grateful for every prayer that was prayed over her.  She is healed now and made whole with her Lord.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bostic were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating and Ms. Sarah Bostic providing the eulogy.  Interment followed at Forest Hill Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Carter officiating.  Stanley Gaskins, Isaac Kennedy, Lee Rowan, Tommy Hester, Stacy Skinner and Ken Lewis served as active pallbearers. Timmy Spell and Jimmy Dickerson served as honorary pallbearers.  Visitation began at 1:00 PM at the funeral home immediately prior to the funeral service.
