Mrs. Geneva Thomas Bradford, 89, of Tifton, Georgia formerly of Adel, passed away September 3, 2018 at the Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bradford was born in Cook County on March 14, 1929 to the late Lonnie Edward Thomas and Irma Moye Thomas. She was a retired Beautician, a caregiver with Diversified Enterprises in Tifton and a member of the Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Bradford lived most of her life in Adel before moving to Tifton a few years ago.
Mrs. Bradford is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Regina Bradford of Tifton; her daughter, Sanda Croft and her friend Tommy Hagy, Sr.; grandchildren: Marshall and Donna Croft of Valdosta, Georgia; Donna "Sissy" Harkins of Woodstock, Georgia; Meagan and Dean Batcher, C. W. Bradford and Luke Smith, all of Tifton; 12 Great-Grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Leroy Howell of Adel; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Barney "Billy" Bradford; five sisters: Patricia Scarborough, Estelle "Tommie" Ragland, Wynell Folsom, Mildred Brady and Irma Lee Howell; and three brothers; James Thomas, Calvin Thomas and Wayne Thomas.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Henry officiated and interment followed in the Antioch Church Cemetery. Visitation was conducted from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home. William Bradford, C.W. Bradford, Tommy Hagy, Sr., Tommy Hagy, Jr., Dean Batcher and Greg Mashburn served as pallbearers. Steve Meders sang "Midnight Cry" and "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)."
