Mr. Harry Russell Harrelson, 80, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at his residence on February 26, 2022.  He was born in Hahira, Georgia on September 4, 1941.  His parents were the late Russell David Harrelson and Helen Sauls Harrelson.  Mr. Harrelson lived most of his life in Cook and Lowndes Counties.  He was of the Baptist Faith and a retired plumber.

Mr. Harrelson is survived two sons and daughters-in-law: Johnny and Tammy Harrelson of Dasher, Georgia and David and Melinda Harrelson Taylorsville, Kentucky; a daughter, Teresa Moody of Ray City, Georgia; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister,  Linda Kennedy of Kennesaw, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth O'Quinn Harrelson; a brother, Felton Harrelson; and three sisters: Doris Powell, Betty Jean James and Mary Lou Irwin.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Wilkes Cemetery in Cook County with Rev. Chad Payne officiating.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
