Mrs. Helen C. Kelley, 80 of Sevierville, Tennessee, formerly of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on May 13, 2022 at the home of her niece in Sevierville. Mrs. Kelley was born August 2, 1941 in Montrose, Colorado to the late Albert Burton Cornwell and Wilma Ethel Scott Cornwell. She was a retired legal secretary for the Dekalb County District Attorney's office in Decatur, Georgia. She lived most of her life in the Atlanta area before moving to Sevierville in 2019 and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nancy Cornwell of Olathe, Colorado; two sisters: Nelda Smith and Marilyn Workman, both of Montrose, Colorado. Mrs. Kelley is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Kelley, and four sisters: Ruth Workman, Carol Fortune, Charlotte Decker and Raissa Todd.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel, Georgia. A eulogy will be given by her nephew Chris Todd. Interment will follow.
