Mrs. Ina B. Morey, 90 of Adel, Georgia passed away August 8, 2015 at The Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, Georgia. She was born November 25, 1924 in Cook County to the late Edward D. and Nancy Edwards Browning. Mrs. Morey lived all of her life in Cook County and attended New Life Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had retired from ITT Thompson Industries.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Kenny and Joyce Morey, Jerry and Judy Morey, all of Hahira, Georgia; 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Faye and Billy May of Moultrie, Georgia; Shirley and Ronnie Purvis, and Donna Morey, all of Adel; twelve grandchildren: Tad May, Sarina May and Pam Snipes, all of Moultrie, Rhonda Rowe of Adel, Steven Purvis of Woodward, Oklahoma, Ron Purvis of Adel, Ken Morey of Hahira, Joe Morey of Lake Park, Georgia, Janey Hatfield of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Jeremy Morey of Hahira, Nikki Fender and Ricky Fender, both of Woodward, Oklahoma; 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; also a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband,Milldge Mack Morey; her granddaughter, Kip May; her grandson, Kalum Fender; her great-granddaughter, Katie Ann Rowe; four brothers: Lonnie Browning, Jay Browning, Elton Browning, John Browning; and five sisters: Mae Tomlinson, Lessie Gandy, Louelle Bennett, Thelma Bennett and Marlene Day.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Duncan and Rev. Harris Whitman officiating. Interment will follow at the Antioch Church Cemetery. Janey Hatfield will sing "Hello After Goodbye", Jordan Rowe will sing "I Can Only Imagine", and Mrs. Hatfield and Mr. Rowe will sing "When I Get Where I'm Going" as a duet; Tonya Whitman will play the piano. Tad May, Steven Purvis, Ron Purvis, Ken Morey, Joe Morey, Jeremy Morey, Ricky Fender and Kalum Fender (in memoriam) will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave; Adel, Georgia.
