Mrs. Iris Wilkerson Moore, age 88, of Barney, Georgia passed away on August 24, 2026 at the Presbyterian Nursing Home in Quitman, Georgia.  Mrs. Moore was born on September 19, 1937 in Adel, Georgia to the late Jack Calvin Wilkerson and the late Beulah Vernice Brown Wilkerson.  She lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida where she was a Real Estate Agent.  She moved back to this area 16 years ago, living in Lowndes and Brooks Counties.  Mrs. Moore is survived by two sisters, Sara Elliott of Morven, Georgia and Carlene Evans of Jacksonville, Florida along with a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Alan Moore; and two brothers, Earl Jack Wilkerson and Paul Wilkerson.

     A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the Crossroads Church Cemetery with eulogies given by Mr. David McDaniel and Mr. Robert Steedley.  Interment will take place prior to the service.
